A good friend of ours recently had a baby, and as I was reflecting I realised that every time he looks at his child he wants only good. He wants only the best for his child’s life. He has so many dreams and desires for the child. He wants to see his child healthy, whole and happy in every area of life. This is a father’s heart.
Our heavenly Father says to you today: I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).If you ever thought God wants anything less than the best for you, it’s a lie from the devil. It’s that simple: God loves you and wants the best for you! But many times in this world of pressures, pains, and hurts we can forget that simple truth. I want to remind you today that God loves you.
Above: The father and daughter who inspired this post!
God loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). Many times we love others with conditions: if they are good to me; if they listen to me; if they don’t hurt me. The love of God is nothing like this; His love never fails, His love never runs out and His love never gives up! No matter what we have done or have not done, His love towards us is the same! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8)! It’s so peaceful to rest in our Father’s love, because it’s never based on anything we can do but it’s always about Him. The bible says: We know and rely on the love God has for us (1 John 4:16a).
Child of God, no matter what situations you find yourself in, know your Father in heaven has plans to prosper you! He wants only good for you! We all have our shortcomings and make our mistakes, but God’s love towards us will never change!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! (Romans 8:38-39)
God’s love for you will never shake, build your life on this sure foundation!
God bless you! Did this post encourage you today? Please leave a comment; I love to hear from you!
