How to be a Weather Changer

How to be a Weather Changer

Everyday we are exposed to so many things around us which can influence us either in a good way or in an evil way. One quality of a strong child of God is that they don’t allow themselves to be influenced by the evil outside, but rather they influence the outside world with the good they carry, they allow the Holy Spirit inside them to manifest outside. Think about this scripture, “Greater is He that’s in me than he that is in the world,” (1John 4:4)  which means we should project the greater one – God in us to effect the world outside us! We are called to be revivalists and carriers of God! We all find ourselves in environments that can be at times more than challenging, but  did you know we have the power to influence the atmosphere we live in and not get tormented by the oppression in the air! The Word of God calls satan the prince of the power of the air, and he works in the sons of disobedience. (Ephesians 2:2) So what should we, the sons of obedience, who walk with our heavenly Father do? We can be weather changers! We can talk to our atmosphere! Speak and declare change and transform it by disturbing the prince of the air and vandalise his territory by terrorising the devil and breaking his airwaves! Elijah is one man who changed the climate he lived in! He spoke what he wanted into existence; he was a weather changer, he prayed rain back into drought. In the way we live, our atmosphere around us will respond. For a land to prosper, good weather is required, for everything from cultivation of crops and fruit, is dependent on the weather. Sometimes the atmosphere in our office, college, and home can be very challenging; in times like these we need to exercise our God given authority to bring a change. Take this simple example, we need to be like the tea bag which changes the hot water around it, instead of the egg which gets changed by the hot water! How can we do this? 1. Speak to your atmosphere only what you want to see manifest 2. You can change the outside only if you carry something different inside – practise carrying and honouring the Holy Spirit in everything you do 3. Create an atmosphere in you before you speak it out. The world that is inside of you is the world that you will manifest outside of you! 4. You can build your inner world by praise & worship, Word & prayer 5. Praise and worship enables us to speak God into our atmosphere by direct proclamation and declaration of God’s Word in majesty, reminding the devil again and again the truth of God that prevails over our lives and the victory that was won on the cross!...

Finding your perfect fit

Finding your perfect fit

We all need affirmation of love; we all want to succeed in life.  We all want to know that we are accepted, and we all want to know that we have someone who is there to catch us when we fall. At times, I personally want assurance that I am cherished and accepted and people value me for who I am. This is not a weakness, but it’s a basic human need that GOD has put in each one of us. Oftentimes, those who feel rejected believe they don’t fit in and are worthless.  But the truth of the matter is that no matter what your capacity is, you still do belong in the Body of Christ. You are made to be in the symphony of God – a fitting instrument in the orchestra of God, made for a specific purpose and having a life mission. Have you found out what’s your purpose and life’s mission? Are you being thrown in the storms of life because of confusion? It simply means that you have not recognised your fitting place or it could be you personally haven’t recognised your call and identified who you are. What we really can do and achieve in the kingdom actually comes out of knowing who you are and not what you can do or what you have already done. All perfect doing comes out of knowing what you are created to do and function for! I pray that we will be a generation ready to stand up for God and not just for mere “men’s agendas”.  Once  God has called you for something then your calling remains. Find your edge and your unique role that you are called to play in the lives of others. What are you called to represent and reproduce in this life? You have only one life and if you don’t know and understand what you are called to do now, you may miss some opportunities, which may cost you a lifetime. I encourage you, no matter where you are in your life’s journey, all it takes to rise up is to know, “who you are, what are you built and wired for?” Fulfilment in life comes only when you have accomplished and lived for the Higher Call. You will find contentment and satisfaction in answering this Call. It is in answering this Call that your promotion for a higher life and a life of great impact is promised. For example, if a car is parked it can be used like a house to live in, the seats can be used as furnishing to sit on and the music system for entertainment. This is good for temporary use but it will never serve the purpose for which the car was created for. The value it can bring is lost even though it can for a season look as good for any other. After sometime,...

Who initiates your miracles?

Who initiates your miracles?

This is a burning question running in my mind from the past few days. Often when we visit a sick person, we as preachers we want the sick person to have the faith to get healed, which is in a way true, I don’t deny the fact that faith is the substance that enables one to reach out and receive a miracle in the name of Jesus. But I was stirred up when I recently read the first miracle in the book of ACTS chapter 3, the account of the lame beggar at the gate called Beautiful. The lame beggar never imagined that this day he would walk like everyone else; he was lame from birth. He had never experienced walking his whole life! What marvels me is that he never expected or saw his miracle coming! It was his usual day of begging. But Heaven came in contact with his life because two men of God walking with Jesus in the Holy Spirit passed by him. The more exciting part is he begged for money to support his usual living, being lame was his vocation from birth. He neither had the faith nor the expectation to receive anything beyond the natural on his own! Now the greatest thing is that the apostles actually initiated the miracle not the lame man! All the lame beggar did was receive by giving his attention! Wow! Miracles happen in our lives, when we give undivided attention to the Word of the Lord! He received the strength that was due from his birth. Are there things due in your life? All it takes is to come in contact with Jesus and give undivided worship to Him! When that happens you will be transformed from a beggar to a praise giver. We bring glory to God when we from nothing become something, when we from our mourning begin dancing in the presence of Jesus! This beggar became a praise giver and a testimony carrier; to show to the world what Jesus did for him! Hallelujah! And it all began because two men filled with the Holy Spirit walked next to a lame beggar in the hour of Prayer and proclaimed the resurrection power of Jesus Christ! Today we can have an unusual day when we proclaim and allow others to come in contact with the Jesus we carry inside of us! It’s faith in the name of Jesus that healed the lame man, not Peter’s own power or godliness! Peter said it himself clearly in Acts 3:12, that it had nothing to do with him, it was all due to the faith that flowed through the name of Jesus. From Jesus flows the faith, the power and resurrection. On whom are we depending today? Let us throw away our strengths and cling to Jesus in total surrender. Let’s be lame with our self-strength and be...

10 Quick Truths for Victorious Living!

10 Quick Truths for Victorious Living!

Our righteousness and right standing with God is always the result of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross; it has nothing to do with our own righteousness! (2 Corinthians 5:21) We cannot get closer to God or please Him with our works; it’s only through faith in Him! (Romans 3:27) You are loved by God unconditionally; no matter how miserable or how sinful you feel at this moment, God still loves you with an unconditional love, that’s why Jesus died for you, even before you said yes to Him. (Jeremiah 31:3) (Romans 5:8) God has a plan and purpose for your life; you are no accident in this world! God had you in His mind, even before your very substance was formed in your mother’s womb. ( Jeremiah 1:5; 29:11) God is always working behind the scenes of your life! In waiting you will always find out what God was up to. In His rightful time everything will be revealed that was planned for your life! (Eccle 3:11; Isaiah 64:4) Everything that happens in your life is to shape you and not to break you! So surrender to His will today and love Him with all of your heart! (Romans 8:28) Your value is determined by the mess and opposition you go through; Josephs and Daniels always go through unnecessary conflicts! And at the end it’s so evident that God was with them throughout to deliver and honor them! (Psalms 91:15; Heb 13:5) Never chose your own way out in a situation, depend and trust on God for He knows our end from the beginning! (Proverbs 3:5) He is the Potter and we are the clay; allow God to lay His finger prints over your life, do not rebel, and let us yield to the Master Maker to bring the best shape out of our lives! (Jer 18:4-6) You are more than a conqueror; the devil can only defeat you when you chose to believe in his lies, stop agreeing with the devil, we need to agree with God! (Romans 8:37) Has this post blessed you? Let me know your thoughts! Jesus Loves...

What Questions Are You Entertaining?

What Questions Are You Entertaining?

One of the most beautiful facets of God’s nature is He is never partial! He knows no discrimination, He never rejects anyone, He is always for us and for our good and He has no evil in Him to devise any evil, God is love! He alone is perfect and you can see His embodiment of Perfect Love in the Life of His Son Jesus Christ! It is sad to hear that many Christians who know Jesus as their personal Saviour still have the following questions? 1) Does God really love me? Then why are all these bad things happening to me? 2) Does God really care about my life? These questions are very dangerous to be entertained because we know the devil’s tactics have not changed. He still sends questions and arguments which are against God and which oppose God’s will and plan for our lives. Whenever we allow such questions to breed in our minds and thoughts, our faith is attacked! What do these questions do? In Genesis 3:1-7 Eve entertained a question from the serpent; which resulted in Eve doubting, distrusting and disobeying the Word of God in her life. The question: “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” This question created doubt against God’s voice & Word. In verses 4-5: “Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'” This created distrust against God’s goodness and love for them. The devil also used an ultimate tool of deception: that Eve can become the god of her own life; that she can make her life better on her own and she can live independently of God! Today let’s do as the Word of God commands: casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV) My beloved I strongly feel it’s time we trust God our Father; our Creator knows what He is up to in our lives. The only way to overcome all these questions is simple: unwavering TRUST in GOD the Father! Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Come let’s get back into the will of our Father God and cast out all those negative questions sent towards our lives in the mighty name of Jesus! Let us reject and renounce all those negative voices of the enemy by trusting GOD! Has this post blessed you? Have you renewed your trust in God today? I love to hear from...

3 Steps to Overcome Your Road Blocks

3 Steps to Overcome Your Road Blocks

When Joshua took over from Moses the responsibility to lead God’s people to the promise land. It was a big deal for Joshua; the magnitude of this responsibility would have been so overwhelming! Joshua never had a face to face experience with God like Moses did, yet he was the one who took God’s people to the promise land! Don’t fret because you don’t have an encounter like that of Moses with God. All that Joshua had was the word of God and that’s what we need today. Joshua hit an immediate roadblock even thou he was in the centre of God’s will; the wall of Jericho stood like a giant before him! In all human ability and capacity they would not be able to overcome and tear down this huge block! But in the midst of this war zone Joshua does something profound. This is the key to overcome our roadblocks Joshua 5:13-15 (NKJV) And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are You for us or for our adversaries? So He said, No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, What does my Lord say to His servant? Then the Commander of the Lords army said to Joshua, Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy. And Joshua did so. What can we learn from this? Prayer – Joshua didn’t look at his circumstance but he looked at God – Notice when Joshua lifted his eyes and looked, God opened his eyes to see beyond his circumstance-he saw solutions in God! Today you can find solutions in God when you overlook your problems through God! Worship – Joshua worshipped God in his war zone, in fact we read in the above passage, the angel of God declared the war zone had become a Holy zone! You see the angel was for God and Joshua had to partner with God to turn his battle field into a holy field where God could visit and turn every situation around. An Instruction for breakthrough – when he worshipped, God gave him divine instructions for his breakthrough! The walls came down has he followed those Instructions. Today no matter what you face and where you are, God can and will turn your situations for His Glory! Pray, worship and seek God’s guidance and you will enter your promise land in Jesus name! Amen! Was this post a blessing? Tell me what you think as I would love to hear from...
